The Clinical study of the effect of TCDO-local application on open Wounds

Abstract
The clinical study of local TCDO soaking with debridement was done on 25 patients in Department
of Surgery, SNUH for a period of 6 months.
The kinds of wounds were as follows.
1) postoperative problem wounds
2) perineal wound of Behcet¢¥s disease
3) cervical wounds of Tbc lymphadenitis
4) ischemic ulcers of DM & Buerger¢¥s disease
5) skin lesions of necrotizing fascitis.
6) open perineal wound after Miles¢¥ op.
In this study, we experienced and concluded that;
1) In all cases besides TCDO soaking, it was essental to do a debridement and treat the underlying disease (eg; anti Tbc medication, by-pass graft, etc.)
2) Formation of granulation tissue and epithelialization were reached over 50% from 2nd days to 7th d y after
TCDO soaking.
3) All wounds were terminated by primary closure or skin graft.
